NAFA Library

The idea of setting up a library for the Nepali community and those who have an interest in Nepal
is being appreciated by many Nepalese residing in Madison. As a result, NAFA has launched the Library
and is located at the house of Dinar and Dhana Shrestha. If you need the location or
their contact information, please contact NAFA.

Now you can check online, what we have in the library, and get your book delivered at a convenient location (agreed by both).

The basics...

  • Please contact Education and Cultural Committee (ECC) memebers when you wish to borrow Library materials.
  • All items borrowed are your responsibility.
  • Please notify ECC regarding any changes to your address or telephone number.
  • You will not be able to borrow items when:
       - your late charges reach a total of $10.00
       - you have 5 items or more overdue

MAXIMUM TIME

  • 4 weeks / print materials
  • 1 week / videocassettes, DVDs, VCDs

You can borrow 2 items in total at a time.

YOU MAY RENEW MATERIALS TWICE IF:

  • They are not requested by another borrower
  • Charges are less than $10
  • You may renew by telephone or email. If you are emailing, please send an email at least two days before the due date.

RETURN ON TIME

  • Late fees are charged on each item, every day. Please pay late charges of $10 before you borrow more materials.

  • Books, magazines 10 cents per item every day
  • Videos, DVDs and VCDs 50 cents per item per day

Returning materials

  • Materials can be returned to any of the CEE member.

Lost or damaged materials...

  • You will be charged a replacement cost. Depending upon the material it may cost from $10 - $15.

Overdue and other charges

  • If you do not return your materials by the due date, and they cannot be renewed, you will be required to pay overdue charges.

  • Refunds are available within 90 days of payment, if a lost catalogued item is found (any overdue charges are non-refundable).

  • The ECC is not responsible for any damages to equipment arising out of, or during, use of borrowed audiovisual items.
